Bend, Oregon is known for its vibrant community spirit, and nowhere is that more evident than at the Tetherow Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament. First held in 2015 with just 10 participants, the event has grown into a cornerstone of Central Oregon’s charitable calendar, drawing over 120 players each year to support breast cancer awareness.
Over the past decade, the tournament has raised more than $125,000 for Sara’s Project, part of the St. Charles Foundation, while also providing a day of connection and joy for survivors, families, and friends. What sets this tournament apart is its unique blend of purpose and play: while golfers cover event costs, it’s the sponsors, donors, and auction supporters who fuel the life-changing contributions.
