Many families in our Central Oregon community are facing unprecedented challenges, and The Giving Plate is working tirelessly on the front lines to provide food and hope to our struggling neighbors. With demand at an all-time high, your generosity can make a powerful impact.
This year, The Giving Plate has taken bold steps to meet the increasing needs of our community:
Opened Two New Facilities in April to reach more families and individuals.
Increased Food Spending by Nearly 50% beyond their original budget to ensure food is available for every person who comes to them.
Served 68% More Individuals since opening their new Community Store, now reaching 5,900 people a month, up from 3,500 in 2023.
Kid’s Korner Mobile Pantry and Kid’s Korner Market are serving more children each month. Backpacks for Bend Program has grown by 54% this year, helping kids in Bend-La Pine Schools take home food for the weekend.
To keep up with the rising demand, The Giving Plate needs to raise $250,000 by the end of this year. With the help of community foundations and local businesses, we’re seeding the first $10,000 in a matching campaign. That means every dollar you give doubles in impact.
